Consignment

Consignment is easy, profitable, and good for the planet!

Consignment is one of the best and easiest solutions for both buyers and sellers alike when it comes to closing the loop on fashion excess and our overflowing closets! Especially when most of us only wear an item of clothing a maximum of 3x before looking to get rid of it...

If your items are in very good condition and in-demand, consignment is your easiest and most hands-off solution to selling your gently worn clothing and accessories. Unfortunately for many of us, traditional consignment services have come with some pretty hefty drawbacks...

1) They have largely been reserved only for the luxury market - ie Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Burberry, etc. (both in-store and online)
2) The processing time for your clothing, even online, can take 3-4 months, or longer! Which, for resellers running their business across multiple platforms, or someone in need of a quicker payout, is a serious loss of time and money.
3) Fees can be ridiculous and vary greatly from platform to platform. And pricing of your items is a somewhat subjective practice, that offers little room for input from the seller.

Bazar's Consignment Consultancy, on the other hand, strives to bring a greater ease to reselling your goods, as efficiently as possible, and for the most advantageous price for all!

Because we're in the business of reselling too, we get that you want less stress, more money and a simple, sustainable solution. Here is what we offer:

1. 70/30 split on all items you sell, from a simple GAP tee shirt to a Balenciaga pair of pumps. We handle all photography, store setup and listing of your items!
2. 2-week processing time from the time we receive your items. Bonus - if you live in the Seattle area, we offer complimentary pickup!
3. Mutual agreement on pricing and selling timeframe. 100% transparency on our pricing strategy ahead of time. Plus: want any items that don't sell donated after 3 months? We can do that :)

Here are some commonly asked Questions and Answers:

1. How often will I be paid? We pay on a monthly basis - every single month you will be paid out for your previous month's sales. We handle payment via Paypal invoice, for maximum ease and transparency.

2. How do I get my items ready to sell? Your potential customers want the absolute best, whether they're hunting for designer treasures or a boho skirt. Please send all items in pristine, 'ready to sell' condition - the better your items are presented their higher their market value! All items should be free from damage, signs of heavy wear or odor. If handbags and shoes have their original box or dustbag, please include those. If your apparel still has original tags or packaging, please include those also as it always raises the value of your item.

3. What is the minimum # of items I can consign? No minimum! You can send in a whole closet clear-out of 30+ items or 1 incredible piece. Quality is definitely more important than quantity when it comes to consignment. FYI, if you're sending in items via our Bazar Bags, they hold an average of 10 items each!

4. How long is your consignment period? Do I get my unsold items back? Our initial consignment timeframe is 3 months long. During this time we will cross-post these listings to at least one additional reselling platform for you for maximum exposure. We will also provide you with your own website to point potential buyers to as well. At the end of 3 months we will provide you with the opportunity to either A) collect your items that haven't sold B) donate or recycle them on your behalf C) extend our consignment period.

5. What type of items are you looking for? We accept all brands and clothing types! Our mission is to make participating in clothing re-selling and sustainability in fashion easier for all. Quality of your items is more important than brand.

6. How do i know which of my items have sold and when? We will send you an email as soon as your item sells, and provide you with a payment report / invoice record at the end of every month.

7. What percentage of my sales do i get to keep? You get to keep 60% as we donate 10% of all our sales to charitable organizations. Your buyer will be selecting their charity of choice, but if you would like to donate an additional 10%, please let us know and we will make that happen!

8. Do you accept items seasonally? We accept all items at all times of the year! For example, even though it is freezing up here in Seattle in January, our friends in Miami still need sandals, tank tops and bikinis! So jealous ;)
